Update on the Recent Editor Upgrade: How We’re Addressing Reported Issues

Thank you for the feedback you’ve shared following our recent editor upgrade. We understand that some of these changes have created unexpected challenges, and we want to assure you that we hear you , and we are taking action.

As a part of the new editor upgrade, a dedicated engineering resource was planned for post-launch support to ensure all defects are addressed from the new editor launch. Thanks to this preparation, several issues have already been resolved, and additional items are actively scheduled for the coming development cycles. Some reports still require further investigation to determine whether the behavior is caused by the editor or another part of the platform. Your feedback remains an essential part of improving your experience, and we are committed to keeping you informed as updates progress.

Important Note About Adding Images in the New Editor

We have received several tickets related to copy and paste images, which was possible in the previous editor. With the upgrade to CKE5, pasting images directly into documents is no longer supported . This change was intentional and made for performance and stability reasons:

  • Pasted images dramatically increase document file size.
  • Larger documents are more likely to time out during editing , and in some cases may become unviewable .
  • Oversized documents can also be excluded from site PDF backups , creating gaps in documentation.

To ensure reliable performance, the supported method for adding images is to upload the image as an attachment and then insert it into the document .

You can follow detailed instructions here:

Our Commitment Going Forward

  • We will continue prioritizing CKE5‑related work with a dedicated engineering resource.
  • Items already in progress will continue moving through development.
  • Remaining reports requiring deeper investigation will be reviewed promptly to determine root cause.
  • We will provide updates as work is completed and improvements are released.
